Something is on the way
Something is on the way
Over the past few years, I’ve been through quite a lot from working in design to building my own art practice, figuring things out along the way, one small problem at a time.
But there’s one decision I’ve always been deeply grateful for: choosing to study design at UNSW Paddington.
I’ve never believed that a degree defines someone’s value or ability.
A design qualification doesn’t determine how someone creates.
And yet, after my time there, I can honestly say it was one of the most important and right choices I’ve made!
If I hadn’t been accepted, my life might have taken a completely different path.
Maybe I would still be in a 9-5 job, unsure if I had the courage to follow my own direction, and Valerie’s Art Room might have never existed.
I’m truly grateful for everything I experienced there the people I met, and the ways it quietly shaped me.
And I’m happy to share that I graduated this March.
From here, I want to keep moving forward exploring my art practice and slowly building something of my own.
If you’d like, you’re welcome to follow along and see this slightly clumsy, but sincere girl finding her way 🌟
